Essential Information

Guidelines, policies, and details for a safe journey.

Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how Aguat Ethiopia Tours (we/us) works with you (the traveler). By booking a trip with us, you agree to these rules.

1. Booking & Confirmation

Your trip is officially booked only when:

  • You pay the required deposit.
  • We send you a written confirmation email.

2. Payments

  • Deposit: To secure your spot, we require a 30% deposit. This deposit is non-refundable because we use it to book your hotels and transport immediately.
  • Final Payment: The rest of the money must be paid 30 days before your trip starts.
  • Late Bookings: If you book less than 30 days before the trip, you must pay the full amount immediately.
  • Bank Fees: If your bank charges a fee for sending money, you are responsible for paying that extra cost.

3. Pricing Changes

We do our best to keep prices fixed. However, sometimes costs change due to things we cannot control (like big changes in currency exchange rates or new government taxes). If this happens before you have paid in full, we may need to adjust the final price to cover these extra costs.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

If you need to cancel your trip, please email us immediately. We will refund your money based on how early you tell us:

  • 60+ days before the trip:Full Refund (minus deposit)
  • 30–59 days before:50% Refund
  • 15–29 days before:25% Refund
  • Less than 14 days:No Refund

5. Changes to Your Itinerary

  • Changes by Us: Sometimes, weather or road conditions make a route unsafe. If we have to change your plan, we will replace it with an activity or hotel of the same or better quality.
  • Changes by You: If you want to change your plan after booking, we will try our best to help, but it might cost extra.

6. Travel Insurance

Important: Aguat Ethiopia Tours does not provide travel insurance. You are responsible for arranging your own policy.

For your own safety, we strongly recommend buying a policy before you travel that covers:

  • Medical emergencies.
  • Emergency transport (getting you to a hospital or back home).
  • Trip cancellations.
  • Lost or stolen luggage.

7. Our Responsibility

We organize your trip by hiring trusted hotels, drivers, and airlines. However, we are not responsible for:

  • Injuries or accidents caused by these third parties.
  • Lost or stolen personal items (like cameras or phones).
  • Delays caused by bad weather or airlines.

8. Unexpected Events (Force Majeure)

Sometimes, events happen that no one can predict or control (like natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government bans). If we cannot run the tour because of these events, we will work with you to reschedule, but we cannot be held responsible for refunds if our suppliers do not refund us.

9. Behavior & Media

Behavior: We ask all guests to respect Ethiopian laws and culture. If a traveler behaves in a way that is dangerous, abusive, or illegal, we have the right to end their tour immediately with no refund.

Photos: We love taking photos of our happy guests! We may use photos or videos from the tour for our website or social media. If you do not want your photo taken, please just tell your guide at the start of the trip.

10. Legal Laws

These terms follow the laws of Ethiopia. Any legal disputes will be handled by the courts in Addis Ababa.
